1967 Mustang fastback Shelby GT-500 recreation, 1969 Ford candy apple red exterior with white stripes (all urethane paint ), black interior , newly upholstered seats , new carpet and dash pad. Interior is show room condition, new head liner, no rips or wear noticable. Shelby black floor mats front and rear. Overhead console with courtesy / map lights. See photos for all interior views.

Body is straight( as best I can tell ) and strong. I have illustrated a small area of rust on the driver’s door forward bottom, about the size of a quarter( see photos ). I have not detected any other rust. Shelby side scoops are currently pluged with foam to keep rocks and debris out, can be easly removed ( scoops are non functional ). The attached photos will answer most all questions about the exterior and interior. Torgue boxes have been strengthened and frame rail connectors welded completely and frenched into solid floor pan front to rear.

Block is a service block, meaning it has all the interior and exterior reinforcements to take a high torque limit. The engine was custom built by TERRY WALTERS PRECISION ENGINES ( waltesengines.com ).in late 2007.(build sheet will be provided to buyer) Internials include Cobra Jet rods, Speed Pro power forged pistons, high out put oil pump, Jesel Performance rockers & lifters ( hydrolic), Federal Mogal Rings, Scot Crankshaft ( crank oil journals and bearing seats camfored to maximize oil flow), Comp. REAR END: Ford 9″ with open 3:25 gears, 28 spline axles. Extensive conversion on housing to accommodate Crown Vic, brakes. All written instructions and information will be forwarede tob buyer.

DASH / INSTRUMENTS:  Dakota Digital . The gas fluctuates a lot but I refuel every 100 miles so no problem, the tack swings a bit , due to electrical inteference of the under hood wires I believe. Both of these can be correcetd by the buyer. The speedometer reads appox. 4 mph faster than the car is going, I kept it that way for my protection !!

BRAKES: Granada single disc. 1968 disc. on front, Ford 1994 Crown Victoria  disc. on rear with parking brake set for left wheel. 1″ master cylinder from SSBC and fluid distribution / adjusting blick from Classic Performance Products, new lines through out. Power vac. boost by Master Brakes.

TRANSMISSION:   Ford C — 6 , rebuild by B&B Transmissions, 2100-2200 stall converter. Lokar floor shifter, transmission fluid cooler mounted infront of radiator, connected with stainless steel wire braded hoses with A & N fittings. ( original Mustang shifter with wood Cobra handle will go to buyer as well )

SUSPENSION:  Front and rear remain stock, front has had the Shelby drop modification. New leaf springs are on rear for softer ride ( I’m getting too old to have my teeth jared any more), buyer will also be given a set of 5 leaf springs if a firmer ride is desired. KYB gas shocks on all corners. Steering box is a new Flaming River close ratio.

GLASS:  All glass is new except the driver’s window and both vents. I wanted to keep a few original pieces intact ( nostalgia )

GAS TANK:  1969 , 20 gallon with sending unit.

I bought this car in a fairly rough condition. The paint has been on for several years but looks good and extermely shinny. I have taken it as far as I want to, now it is time to look forward to travel and retirement. The successful bidder will find they have a good car and can take it to a new, higher level of what ever their hearts desire. The car drives very well but remember, it is a 1967 so don’t expect to jump from your modern day vehicle with it’s technology advancements into this car and it drive the same way, it won’t.

There are no leaks in this car that I can see on the garage floor. The car has been garage kept and under a car cover, which the buyer gets too, ever sinse I have had the car. The car has won pretty much every show it has been in, limited a it has been. This car is fun to drive and the comments from other drivers that pull up beside you are amazing, it IS a head turner and gets the attention of the crowd fast.

The buyer will also aquire a large assortment of reference books, parts, catalogs, older issues of Mustang Times and Mustang Monthly that I have used for references, all available records I have on the car including receipts and complete engine build information and parts sheet ( block $1631.39, engine build $9123.63 totaling $10755.02 in the basic engine alone) , not counting all the extras to make it smooth and run well.

I hope I haven’t left anything out,  I will gladly answer any of your questions.    REMEMBER, THIS IS A  SOLD AS IS  ITEM, NO WARRENTY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED.
