ANSWER: THE 540RH IS DESIGNED TO BE A SLEEPER CAR. THE APPEARANCE DOESN’T CHANGE MUCH FROM A STOCK MUSTANG GT, BUT IT GET THE MOTOR AND SUSPENSION UPGRADES FOR THOSE THAT JUST WANT THE PERFORMANCE AT A LOWER PRICE WITHOUT SPENDING ALL THAT EXTRA MONEY FOR LOOKS. THE 540RH GETS THE SUPERCHARGER FROM THE LIMITED EDITION P51 WITH EVEN MORE HORSE POWER! NOW UP TO A RATED 540HP! KEEP IN MIND HOWEVER THIS IS A VERY CONSERVATIVE RATING. THE CAR REALLY MAKES SOMEWHERE AROUND 550HP.

2: HOW DOES THE 540RH COMPARE TO THE SHELBY GT500?

ANSWER: WELL, IF YOU COMPARE APPLES TO APPLES, THE SHELBY MAKES 540HP AND THE 540RH MAKES 540HP. ROUSH IS MORE CONSERVATIVE THAN FORD IS ON THE RATING THOUGH. THERE IS EASILY ABOUT 10HP DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO AT THE WHEELS. NOW, EVEN IF THE REAR HORSE POWER WERE EXACTLY THE SAME, THE NEXT THING WOULD BE WEIGHT. THE SHELBY HAS A CURB WEIGHT OF 3,924 LBS. THE ROUSH HAS CURB WEIGHT OF 3,688 LBS. NOW, IMAGINE TAKING YOUR 236LB FRIEND FOR A RIDE IN YOUR PERFORMANCE CAR. IT DOESN’T PERFORM NEARLY AS WELL AS IT DOES WHEN YOU’RE BY YOURSELF. THAT IS TORQUE TO WEIGHT RATIO AND THE STAGE 3 DEFINATELY HAS THE ADVANTAGE. IN ADDITION, THE 236LB DIFFERENCE IS ALL IN THE FRONT OF THE SHELBY, IN THE ENGINE. THE SHELBY HAS THE HEAVY CAST IRON MOTOR AND THE 540RH HAS THE LIGHT ALUMINUM MOTOR. THE HEAVY FRONT END IS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO HANDLE AND MANOUVER. WITH A FAR SUPERIOR SUSPENSION, BETTER SHORT THOW SHIFTER, AND FAR BETTER OVERALL HANDLING THE 540RH WILL OUT PERFORM THE SHELBY! Regardless of where I live, how does the buying process work if I am financing my vehicle through Ray Skillman Ford?

Apply online, get approved, and contact your corresponding salesman to work out the details of the transaction. Leave the standard deposit via Paypal or Credit Card to secure your vehicle during the buying process. Depending on where you live and how you will take delivery of the vehicle, the loan paperwork will be sent via Overnight Carrier with a Return Envelope to be signed and returned or handled in person at the dealership. Once all the necessary documents are received and everything is in order, we will contact you to start making arrangements to take delivery of your vehicle. We will gladly arrange to have you picked up from the local airport during regular business hours or we can arrange shipping to your front door on a fully licensed, bonded, and insured carrier.
