AFTER XMAS SPECIAL
OWNED BY SAME OWNER FOR PAST 15 YEARS
Ok everyone here it is! I have a 1969 MACH 1 S code big block Mustang up for sale. This car has been media blasted to bare metal (no rust in the floors, quaters, fenders, doors, hood, etc, and the floors, trunk, inner fender well’s have not been replaced they are original) and painted back to its original beauty, Winter blue with the best paint system in the market PPG base coat clear coat system. The car further is striped with white and gold Mach 1 striping kit and black out hood. Interior is white deluxe with fold down back seat, center console. Other options are A/C, C-6 Automatic transmission, tilt steering, PS, PDB, style steel wheels.
The A/C was recently gone through last month and charged and still uses the R12 refrigerant.
The C-6 Transmission was rebuilt at the time of the restoration and engine rebuild
The Power Steering pump, hoses, and ram were all replaced at time of restoration
The Power booster for the Power disc brakes was rebuilt at time of restoration, the brakes were all gone through at this time also.
The tilt away steering does work intermediately (It had not worked for 15 years until recently when I loosened it with some lubricant spray. The steering wheel will tilt up and down with no problems)
The undercarriage and floor pans as stated above had no rust and appeared as they did at time of original sale, both undercarriage and engine compartment are clean and have been detailed to factory painting.
The car has about 1000 miles on the restoration and 1000 miles on the rebuilt ballanced and blueprinted 428 CJ engine that has a 428 P.I. aluminum intake, CJ exhaust manifolds, 69 CJ heads, CJ Block, blue printed oil pump with added oil cooler, Mallory distributor, original Chrome big block Ford valve covers, and aluminum Cobra oil pan. TRW Pistons, the best of the best in this engine.
The rear end was removed gutted, rebuilt to factory condition with its 3.00 gears, and painted back to original specs.
Upgraded improvements to the car include the coil over shocks in front with global west and total control front control arm suspension and an aluminum finned trans pan to match the cobra engine oil pan.
I have owned this Mach 1 for over 15 years and there is only about 1,000 miles on the car since its restoration which started 7 years go and just finished with minor fixtures that never had been completed until this month.
The car runs great and does not over heat at all. I drove this car from Sacramento California in Northern California in 105 degree weather to the first Restro-Mods in Reno and had absolutely no problems.
The car was originally sold from Lutz Ford Sales in Palo Alto Ca. and has stayed in northern Ca. its entire life span. The car has been always garaged and has seen no rain in the past 15 years.
The 1969 Mustang Mach 1 is sold as is, with no guarantees or warranties. Buyer is welcome to inspect vehicle at Seller’s location prior to bidding or end of auction. The Mach 1 is being sold by a private owner and not a business. The vehicle is offered for sale locally and auction may end prior to finish of auction with posting removed.
The reason I am selling this beautiful mustang is simple, when I restored the car I over restored it to a more show worthy condition then I wanted. Therefore I do not drive it in fear of someone opening their door on me or damaging the car. I will be looking for a more “driver” condition collector car that I will not worry about driving it on a daily basis. This car only comes out of the garage when its not raining and to local weekend car shows. The car did recently make a 200 mile round trip to Infineon raceway for the SHELBY AMERICAN CONVENTION and took 3rd place in the car show. May consider a partial trade plus cash for a project Mach 1, 69 Mustang Convertible, or maybe a Ferrari, Viper, Pantera, Mangusta, 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 Shelby GT350 GT500 SERIES 1, or 70-73 Challenger?
I can assist with arrangements in transportation for pickup. Car will not be shipped until entire payment is made. For buyers out of the country I will assist with arrangements with the transport company to ship to the Port of Los Angeles for transport by ship.
Payment of non-refundable deposit of $2000.00 U.S. currency is due within 48 hours upon Buy it now option. Remainder of payment due within 7 days of end of auction unless agreed otherwise by seller and buyer in writing.
